PHILADELPHIA – May 29, 2019 – FS Investments, a leading alternative asset manager, today announced that Marc Bryant will join the firm as Senior Managing Director and Chief Legal Officer. Mr. Bryant will be based in the firm’s Philadelphia office and will oversee all legal and compliance functions. He will also serve on the firm’s Executive Committee.
Previously, Mr. Bryant served as Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Head of Asset Management Legal at Fidelity Investments in Boston. His responsibilities included serving as Chief Legal Officer for Fidelity’s various investment advisers. Prior to joining Fidelity in 2010, Mr. Bryant served as Senior Vice President and Head of Global Retail Legal at AllianceBernstein L.P. and, before this, General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer at ProFund Advisors LLC.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Bryant held several legal positions in the asset management and investment management divisions at General Electric. He began his career as an attorney at Kirkpatrick & Lockhart LLP, specializing in securities and financial services regulation.

Mr. Bryant is the third recent hire to FS Investments’ Executive Committee, following the addition of Robert Stark, Senior Managing Director of Corporate Development, from J.P. Morgan Asset Management in November and Vincent Amatulli, Chief Technology & Operations Officer, from Broadridge Financial Solutions and Goldman Sachs in January.
