The outlook for the CRE market has changed significantly throughout the first six months of the year. Rising interest rates are pressuring property valuations and economic growth. The market undoubtedly enjoys significant supports, but as economists haggle over whether the economy can manage a soft landing, investors have begun to contemplate the degree of moderation in CRE during the second half of the year.
