PHILADELPHIA – July 25, 2019 – FS Investments, a leading alternative asset manager, today announced that David Heflin has joined the firm as Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Specialists. Mr. Heflin is based in the firm’s Philadelphia office and is responsible for overseeing the portfolio specialists team and working closely with the distribution team to support the overall sales effort.
Mr. Heflin has more than two decades of experience in financial services, most recently serving as a Senior Client Portfolio Manager at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), where he worked on the Alternative Investments Manager Selection team, representing sub-advised strategies including hedge funds, funds of funds and equity investments. Previously, he worked in institutional sales and external wholesaling for GSAM and in wholesaling for Nuveen and Delaware Investments.
