PHILADELPHIA, PA– January 23, 2023 –FS Investments, a leading alternative asset manager, today announced that Peter Ort has joined the firm as Managing Director, Head of New Product Development.

Mr. Ort most recently served as General Partner at Cambium Capital, a venture capital firm with a focus on investments in advanced computing. In 2010, he co-founded CurAlea Associates, an award-winning independent risk advisory firm providing software and advisory solutions to asset managers, hedge funds and RIAs across manager diligence, portfolio risk, and asset allocation. Earlier in his career, Pete held investment roles at Karsh Capital, a long/short equity hedge fund, and Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he was Co-CIO of the Hedge Fund Strategies Group.
Mr. Ort received a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and JD and MBA degrees from New York University.
