FS volunteers support veteran career readiness program

January 23, 2023

PHILADELPHIA – January 23, 2023 – The FourBlock Foundation, a national nonprofit organization, recently received a donation from FS Investments to provide ongoing support for veterans in their transition from military service to meaningful civilian careers. The continued funding will support FourBlock’s flagship Career Readiness Program for transitioning veterans in the Greater Philadelphia Area by helping them tell their story.

“At FourBlock we teach our veterans how to deliver a strategic communications piece to another person to help them understand who they are, the value that they bring, what they care about, and where they’re trying to get to.”

– Eric Stetson, Regional Director, The FourBlock Foundation

FS Investments is proud to participate in FourBlock’s flagship Career Readiness Program, which is taught by corporate executives in major cities across the U.S. and now serves more than 600 transitioning veterans annually.

“Our FS volunteers understand the relevance that their non-military experience lends to the development and preparation of veterans transitioning to civilian careers. It’s one thing to thank a veteran for their service, but it’s another to spend time with them, learn about their post-military goals and to provide relevant feedback towards achieving those goals.”

– William Mann, Executive Director, Deputy Chief Compliance Officer + Veteran

The FourBlock Foundation is dedicated to supporting returning service members and their loved ones in their transition from military service to meaningful civilian careers. A transition Mr. Mann speaks of, from experience, and with that, a personal appreciation for the foundation and its mission, “FourBlock understands the value of this dynamic and their Career Readiness Program creates community allies to help maximize success for our veterans.”
