Lara Rhame, FS Investments’ Chief U.S. Economist, was recognized as a recipient of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 2018 Women of Distinction Award.
Each year, the publication highlights influential businesswomen from various sectors in the Philadelphia region. A record number of nominations was received, but the panel of judges selected just 35 for the 2018 Women of Distinction class. The women on the list exemplify professional achievement, dedication to mentorship and community involvement.
In the special edition of the publication released Friday, Lara discussed her personal motivation, challenges facing women leaders today and the importance of mentorship.
“I genuinely love my job and derive a lot of satisfaction from engaging people in talking about the economy,” Rhame said. “More broadly, succeeding professionally helps me to feel that I am setting an example not only for my daughters, but for other young women.”
