June 16, 2017

PHILADELPHIA, PA – June 16, 2017 – FS Investments Chairman and CEO Michael Forman was honored by Mural Arts Philadelphia for his dedication to the city’s public art initiatives at the organization’s 2017 Wall Ball. The annual fundraiser and celebration took place on the evening of June 14, with members of Philadelphia’s business and arts communities joining together to support Mural Arts.

“Jane Golden and the entire team at Mural Arts Philadelphia do a terrific job bringing art alive to educate our kids and strengthen our neighborhoods,” said Mr. Forman. “We are extremely proud to support Mural Arts through our charitable arm, the FS Foundation, and through countless hours of employee volunteerism,” added Forman. “We look forward to continuing our partnership for many years to come.”

“Wall Ball is our biggest event of the year, where we aim to energize the Mural Arts Philadelphia family, and beyond, in support of our mission to ignite change through art education and collaborative, community-driven public art,” explained Jane Golden, founder and executive director of Mural Arts Philadelphia. “It is our pleasure to honor Michael Forman at this year’s Wall Ball – we need more leaders in our city like Michael, who dedicate themselves not only to their business, but also to their local community.”

2017 Wall Ball raised about $630,000 for Mural Arts, which will support collaborative public art projects and high-quality art education and training programs in the city of Philadelphia. Michael Forman was honored alongside Pedro Ramos, President and CEO of The Philadelphia Foundation, and Rashid Johnson, who received the Tony Goldman Visionary Artist Award.
