Seventh Annual Wayne Turkey Trot Raises More Than $26,000 for Three Local Charities

FS Investments and eight other sponsors are proud to support Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Philadelphia Financial Scholars, and Radnor Police’s K-9 Unit.

WAYNE, PA – November 23, 2023 – The seventh annual Wayne Turkey Trot, a Thanksgiving day 5K run/walk in downtown Wayne, PA, raised more than $26,000 for Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Financial Scholars, and the Radnor Police Department’s K-9 Unit. More than 620 runners and walkers participated in this year’s 5K presented by Philadelphia-based alternative asset manager, FS Investments, and sponsored by the FS Foundation, McAdam Financial, Aqua Pennsylvania, Relay Network, Campus Apartments, and KeyBank.

“The Trot is always an awesome way to start the day with family and friends and a chance to exercise, socialize and give back. This year we’re supporting wonderful causes in Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Philadelphia Financial Scholars and the local Radnor Police Department’s K9 Unit,” said Mike Gerber, Founder of the Wayne Turkey Trot and a partner at FS Investments. “On behalf of my partners and colleagues at FS Investments, I thank all our sponsors and participants for making this year’s Turkey Trot another great success.” Mr. Gerber resides in Wayne, PA with his family and started the Wayne Turkey Trot in 2017.

About Radnor Police K-9 Unit:

Initiated into the police force in 2014, Rover and Discovery are the leaders of the bomb detection unit for the Radnor Police force. The K-9 Unit patrols the Main Line in customized Land Rover LR4s, each with a special cage for the canine companions. The K-9 Unit is in need of another Bomb detection dog. This year’s funds will directly support the growth of the K-9 bomb detection unit.
